| The Door Opener is published four times
each year. Editorial content of each issue includes six to nine articles plus several regular
columns prepared by The Door Opener staff. A theme is chosen for each issue and
authors/articles are selected to support the theme.
Writers preferably live in Connecticut. Since the magazine is about and only distributed in
Connecticut we prefer to provide opportunities for those who live here. We happen to have an abundance of wonderful
authors here in Connecticut, so we ask that authors wait approximately one year before contributing to another issue.
Articles must be educational, not self promotional. We do not accept articles promoting
individual businesses, products or speakers.
We rarely are able to publish unsolicited articles. We suggest that if you would like to be
included in a future issue you let us know the subjects you are interested in writing on. We keep a
list and use it to help choose themes and select writers.
